Bags of flavour and a subtle extra crunch thanks to a hefty addition of red miso and sesame seeds, but still a versatile loaf that can be used in all the standard ways.

I’m often asked what miso tastes like and the best description I can think of is to say that it’s a mild Japanese Marmite. But in reality it’s more of a flavour enhancer than a flavour in itself and it won’t be coming out and slapping you round the face saying “Hello, I’m miso!”. You’ll just take a bite, and, without quite putting your finger on why, say to yourself, “Mmmm, tastes like bread, but BETTER“.
