Description
This year has been a great year for quinces in Ely, so I’m delighted to be offering what is possibly the first batch of commercially made Membrillo that has both been grown and produced in Ely.
Membrillo is a sweet, firm quince paste that is Spanish in origin (a bit like me!) and traditionally eaten with cheese, either a hard cheese like manchego or a salty blue. But don’t let that limit you, it is part of the cuisine throughout the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world and is eaten in as many ways as countries it is made in.
Ingredients: quince, sugar, water, lemon juice
Allergens: none
Size: approx 130g
