Description
A white sourdough loaf generously filled with cheddar cheese, sundried tomatoes and harissa – a classic cheesy loaf packed with the essence of sunshine.
Harissa is the key ingredient for this loaf, that ties the sundried tomatoes and cheese together. It’s a spice blend from the Maghreb (modern day Tunisia, Morroco, Algeria, Libya and Mauritania) that blends the heat of chilli with fragrant herbs and spices such as rose petals, caraway and coriander. In order to get the right balance I’ve blended two different harissa pastes to get evening warmth but not searing midday heat, sunshine but not sunburn.
Ingredients: organic white wheat flour, organic stoneground white wheat flour, water, cheddar cheese, organic sundried tomatoes, harissa paste (paprika and chilli peppers, rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, garlic, coriander, caraway, salt, mixed spices, rose petals, lemon juice, citric acid), water, sea salt.
